Today was the second of four Chemo Treatments. It went pretty much the same as last time. Nurse Kim tried setting the drip pace on the Benadryl a little slower to see if it would help with the psychedelic trip effects it sent me on last time, but it didn't change anything much. That Benadryl really trips me out. Seriously, it's very weird. First it just makes me feel extremely drowsy, but not in a good way. More like I'm very very drunk. At least that's the best description I can come up with. Like, oh my gosh, why did I drink so much; that kind of drowsy. And I'm wishing I could just pass out, but then comes the feeling that makes my legs want to twitch and I can't keep them still. I even try saying in my head, I won't move them, I WON'T!. But that's like when you have a bad cough, and you try not to cough anymore. You can't control it. It feels like that with my legs; just my legs, so weird. The Benadryl is given to me so I don't have any adverse effects from the chemo. This time though it really bothered the little stubs of hair left on my head after getting it shaved. I was wearing my wig during the treatment but it got extremely irritating. I finally gave up the ego and took it off and felt much better. By that time I didn't care who saw me, it was so unbearably uncomfortable. By the time the treatment was complete it felt normal again. Can I get a great big WEIRD!
They give me something for the nausea in my little port too before they inject the big guns..dunt dunt dun the Chemotherapy Drugs. My little insurance policy to help assure that I don't get another cancer clump. Anyway, all and all today went very smooth. Four hours in the chair and another four hours sleeping it off on my couch.

So that's how today went. Now I have the rest of the weekend to rest up for work on Monday. I am so fortunate to have my loving and caring Nurse Sugarbear (aka Mark) here giving me lots of TLC and anything else I might need. I know it's not easy on him either but he's been the bestest! Thank you everyone for all your prayers, concern and love. I feel so fortunate to have such great family and friends who care about me. I am blessed!

I have tear in my eyes. Thankfully only 2 more of these sessions. Tell Nurse Sugarbear to give you a huge hug, it will be from Phill and I!
